Nursery Works, Sheffield

330 solar panel installation

Background

Nursery Works, in the heart of Sheffield, is a small industrial estate, home to several small businesses, playing an important role in supporting local entrepreneurship and industry.

They were keen to reduce their environmental footprint and embrace sustainable energy practices.

The Challenge

Nursery Works, like many similar industrial estates across the country, had a significant energy demand to support its day-to-day operations.

Relying solely on the grid meant high energy costs and a notable carbon footprint.

The challenge was clear: how could we help to reduce energy costs and their environmental impact?

The Solution

We proposed to install 330 solar panels, generating approximately 130kW of renewable energy.

This installation would cover approximately a third of the complex's energy demand, greatly reducing its dependency on the grid.

Results

The impact of the solar panel installation at Nursery Works was huge.

With approximately one-third of the complex's energy demand now met by renewable energy sources, Nursery Works has significantly reduced its carbon footprint, its reliance on the grid and its energy bills.
