How does the process start?

It begins when you request a quote from us. We use the details you provide such as your address, electricity usage and roof information to create a tailored solar design and quote.

Every quote is prepared by our in-house engineers. We do not outsource or use automated design tools, which means your system is properly assessed for performance, safety and suitability.

If your property has complex features, such as unusual roof angles, shading or multiple electrical phases, we may suggest a site visit before quoting. In most cases, the design can be completed accurately from the information you provide.

What happens after I receive my quote?

You will receive a clear and detailed quote showing the recommended equipment, expected generation, and estimated savings. We include options where relevant, so you can decide what works best for your budget and goals.

Once you are happy to go ahead, we confirm your system specification with an initial site visit to discuss in person and then prepare the necessary paperwork.

Do I need to deal with the grid or local network?

No, we handle this for you. Our team checks whether your system needs permission from your local Distribution Network Operator (DNO). Smaller systems can usually be installed without prior approval, but larger setups need formal consent before work starts - this process can take up to two months. We manage this process from start to finish.

What happens before installation?

If needed, we arrange a pre-installation survey to confirm roof access, electrical connection points, and cable routes. Many projects do not require this step, but we carry it out whenever there is anything unusual about the property.

We then send you the MCS contract, warranty information, and terms and conditions. Once your deposit is received, your installation dates are secured.

How are installation dates confirmed?

We agree on a timeline that suits you. This will include scaffolding, roof work, and electrical installation. Scaffolding is usually erected two to seven days before the installation begins. We are also happy to work around and liaise with other contractors such as roofers if you have other work being carried out.

What happens on installation day?

Our installers arrive on time and carry out the work carefully and efficiently. Panels are fitted, cables are run neatly, and the inverter and battery are installed and tested. We take pride in leaving every property clean and tidy once the work is complete.

When does my system start generating power?

Once everything has been fitted, we commission the system and turn it on. From that point, you begin producing your own renewable electricity.

What do I receive after installation?

You’ll get a full handover pack with your system manuals, datasheets, MCS certificate, and DNO confirmation. This usually takes around a week while we wait for the grid connection letter. If you’re planning to export excess electricity, we’ll also register your system for the Smart Export Guarantee.

What support is available after installation?

You can contact our team any time if you have questions about your system or performance. We monitor installations closely in the first few weeks to make sure everything is running as expected.

Our workmanship and equipment warranties give you long-term peace of mind, and our engineers are always available if you need advice in future.
